DGS Lady Bearcats down Melstone in three sets

Saturday night in Stanford, Lady Bearcat fans got the opportunity to show their support for this year’s Denton-Geyser-Stanford volleyball squad in a conference match against Melstone. The Lady Broncs are returning to District 5C volleyball after an absence of three years. During those years, Melstone co-oped with Roundup in volleyball.

DGS coach Connie Becker’s lineup of two seniors, two juniors and two sophomores was able to put the Lady Broncs away in three sets, 25-22, 27-25 and 25-18. The win improved the Lady Bearcats conference record to 2-1.

Kyle Lee: all-around sportsman

Kyle Lee, son of Jeff and Debby Lee, is a senior this year at Denton. At 17 years old, he does not yet have a long-term plan for his future, but his interests focus on sports.

This past summer, as in summers past, Kyle played baseball for the Lewistown Redbirds. A multi-talented player, Kyle filled the positions of catcher, first baseman and pitcher when needed.
