Additional Active COVID-19 Case in Judith Basin

An additional active case of COVID-19 in Judith Basin was reported by the the Central Montana Health District late yesterday, bringing the total number of known active COVID-19 cases in Judith Basin County to two. 'Active' cases are within the time window of being contagious. The new case in Judith Basin is an individual aged 40 - 49; no other details were provided. There are currently no active COVID-19 hospitalizations for Judith Basin residents.

 

According to Central Montana Health District's Pubic Health Nurse, contact tracing is underway. Any individuals identified as close contacts will be contacted by public health.

 

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Judith Basin to eight to date. Six of these individuals are recovered, and are no longer contagious.

 

The Central Montana Health District oversees the following six counties: Judith Basin, Petroleum, Wheatland, Golden Valley, Fergus and Musselshell. The state's coronavirus tracking website has not yet added this case in Judith Basin, likely due to a slight time lag between the reporting systems; the CMHD's data is the most up-to-date for the six-county region.

 

In the other counties overseen by the Central Montana Health District, Fergus has 8 active cases of COVID-19, Wheatland has 9, and Musselshell has 3 active cases.
