Frank Brady Jr.

Frank James Brady Jr., passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes at his home in Lewistown, Montana on July 19, 2021 with his loving wife of 40 years, Jennifer, by his side.

Frank was born September 25, 1936 to Annie Brady and Frank Brady Sr. in Lewistown. He was the only son in a family of daughters, and raised by loving parents who taught him a strong work ethic.

He graduated from Fergus High School in 1955, where he participated in FFA and spent much time with his friends, especially his best friend Duke. When he graduated from high school he began a job at the Ford Garage in Lewistown, working on cars, but he craved to be out in the open air, to be able to see the grand Montana sky, day to day. With that dream in mind, he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Lewis, in 1956.

Soon after, with their four children in tow, they moved onto the Brady homestead outside of Moccasin, Montana, making his dream come true. There he raised many cows, sheep, pigs, barn cats, and dogs there, as well as farming wheat and barley.

After his divorce in 1978, his family grew again when he married Jennifer Erickson in 1981, loving and raising her two children as his own. When he was not farming, he could be found visiting his sisters, fixing vehicles, or cheering on the Tigers at the basketball games in Hobson. In 1989 and 1992, their family continued to grow as they welcomed their daughters, Veronica and Shelbye into their lives. Frank finally retired from farming in 2011. He returned to Lewistown that year to live out his retirement there, enjoying his Game Shows and snack time with his great-granddaughter Lenora Brady. “Grumpaw” always had room for snuggles on his lap, next to his cat Imp.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Brady Sr. and Annie Brady of Lewistown; his sisters, Anne Bridgeford of Lewistown, Mary Cecrle of Kolin, and Lillian Kolar of Hobson. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Brady; sister, Dorothy (Francis) Weinheimer of Moore; his children, Chris (Gary) Senef of Gillette Wyo., Ron Brady of Portland Ore., Scott (Christian) Brady of Billings, Gretchen (Shane) Hirsch of Miles City, Susan (Jim) Skinner of Billings, Robert (Maribeth) Bridgeford of Florida, Veronica (Jason) Brady of Lewistown, and Shelbye Brady of Seattle, Wash., as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Creel Funeral Home on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Hobson School FFA Chapter.

Arrangements are under the care of Creel Funeral Home. Frank’s family and friends can share memories and condolences at www. creelfuneralhome.com.
